About the Artist
Artistic Journey
Zahra practises and teaches Persian miniature painting and Islamic manuscript illumination. She was trained by a master artist. Zahra combines traditional techniques with personal expression, creating stunning pieces that reflect her love for nature and peacocks, and a rich colour palete that speaks of her cultural heritage.
She works with natural pigments making her own paints. She has exhibited her work at various places including at Tate Modern, and teaches internationally including Cairo, Karachi and London among other places.
